Places to go in Los Angeles for a great night out

Sunset Strip, the section of Sunset Boulevard that runs through West Hollywood, is where some of LA's best clubs and bars can be found. One of the most well known is The Viper Room. With a long history of celebrity excess upon which its reputation has been built it is actually a great night out, with live bands and great music in a fantastic environment. This typifies the Strip really as the quality of clubs is outstanding. There are so many more, catering for every possible taste. The only downside of the clubs in LA is that they do close sometimes, otherwise you may never leave.

There are also many other aspects of Los Angeles night life to draw the visitor. Restaurants abound and are always popular with a local population that appreciates quality. The performing arts are also well catered for, with the Hollywood Bowl being perhaps the best known venue although being caught up quickly by the Kodak Theater, which is where the Academy Awards Ceremony (the Oscars) is held.

The choice of evening entertainment in Los Angeles can be a little bewildering in its diversity, as with so much in LA. For anyone spending a few days or more in this great city the best advice is to get out of the hotel and try as much as possible. New experiences are exhilarating, and LA is where so many of them can be found.
